Bradstreet Consultants announces the opening of a production facility in Manchester, just minutes west of Augusta, Maine's capitol city.
Specializing in the technical and professional mapping disciplines, Bradstreet Consultants provides a full range of photogrammetric mapping services. This new company will focus on serving the outsourcing needs of the photogrammetric mapping community. The current staff members have backgrounds in surveying, geology, GIS, photogrammetric mapping, software systems sales and development.
Services include project management, aerotriangulation, stereocompilation, digital terrain modeling, orthophoto generation and data translation. Highly accurate base data is captured using Intergraph IMA (Zeiss P1) stereoplotters with Kork Digital Mapping Systems (KDMS). The data can be provided unedited or edited in the KDMS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, ArcView GIS or MapInfo formats.
- Time - the mapping needs to be completed prior to the spring construction season. Delivery times are measured in weeks not months on this project.
- Rigor - the data must be survey grade accuracy obtained from inserting high quality aerial photos into precision instruments called stereoplotters.
- Data flexibility - the data compiled must be in a form that can be easily manipulated by the Department of Public Works' AutoCAD and Softdesk software.
"Delivery time appears to be the key element in today's electronic world. Being a small, but focused company allows us to be very responsive to our customers needs", commented Mark Bradstreet, President of BCI. Bradstreet expects to complete the detailed 40'/" 1' contour priority mapping areas of Portland in time for the spring digging/construction season.
