The
Town of Cumberland, Maine and the Town of Old Orchard Beach, Maine
recently contracted BCI to map their entire towns at the 5-foot and
2-foot contour level. This
map data along with digital orthophotos generated will be available to
all the towns departments assisting them in managing the towns’ assets
and growth. For Cumberland,
Bradstreet will use digital imagery captured by Kodak Global
Imaging.
New
aerial photography (spring 2003) will be taken of Old Orchard Beach (OOB)
to support photogrammetric data capture. Utilities such as manholes, catch basins, and similar
features will be added to the 2’ contour maps to comply with GASB34, a government
accounting standards program.
Bradstreet will supply the OOB data to Woodard and Curran, an
engineering firm specializing in municipal consulting based in Portland,
Maine.
